In this conversation, Shawn McCraney explains the ethical foundation behind his teachings and the philosophy that eventually developed into what is now called the Yeshuan model of subjective faith.

Shawn describes his early search through philosophy and how different systems of thought failed to provide a workable foundation for life. After exploring thinkers like Descartes, Hume, Spinoza, and others, he encountered existentialist ideas about subjectivity that helped shape his understanding of individual responsibility.

Ultimately, he found that the most powerful guiding principle was already present in the teachings of Jesus: selfless, sacrificial love.

According to Shawn, love — defined as unconditional, humble, and self-sacrificial — becomes the test by which every philosophy, ideology, or system can be evaluated. When applied freely by individuals rather than enforced through religious systems, this ethic becomes the foundation for true spiritual liberty.

This principle forms the ethical core of the Yeshuan model, where individuals are encouraged to pursue faith, love, and responsibility without institutional control or doctrinal coercion.
